The Short Reviews

July 3, 2011

This post focuses on ten short reviews of Japanese dramas that I have watched including the popular Hana Yori Dango and 1 Litre of Tears. I had put this particular piece on its own page, but I feel that it has been in the back burner. I mean, I’ve even forgotten about it until I happened to find it. So, here it is! These set of reviews are not as profound as my reviews of other dramas, however, I have rated them. 1 being the lowest score and 5 being the highest which means utterly awesomeness! Be aware that these were written when I first started my blog and I tried my best to remember the drama. I also did add a few more details to the ones that didn’t have so much detail! So… I guess you can say this is kind of my recycled one year gift for all my readers! Haha!

1 Litre of Tears / 1リットルの涙: This is definitely a heartbreaking drama. Once I finished watching this I started seeing life in a whole different perspective. I loved the cast and the soundtrack. Just about everything was spot on for me, though I wish Aya’s romantic interest was a bit more focused on.  I highly recommend this drama, this is a tearjerker so bring out the tissues! 4.5/5 Read the rest of this entry ?

DRAMA LIST: The Month of August

August 2, 2010

August has arrived and I told Spoofnick we should show our readers what dramas we are currently (or going to be) watching. I will be blue while Spoofnick is green. If I have new post regarding any of the drama below, such as drama recaps or first impressions, they’ll be added. We’ll try to keep this drama list going every month. Hopefully this helps if you’re looking for any new or upcoming dramas to watch! Read the rest of this entry ?

First Impression: HAMMER SESSION!

July 29, 2010

My downfall. My guilty pleasures. I’ve watched a ton of school dramas and few revolving around teachers, I have left so many unfinished. But, my love for them will never cease no matter how cliché and over the top they may get, I just never stop loving them. I actually haven’t heard much about this drama since I got back from Europe. Let us see how our two leads Mokomichi Hayami (Zettai Kareshi, Densha Otoko) and Shida Mirai (Tantei Gakuen Q, Jyoou no Kyoushitsu) do in this drama. The first episode aired on July 10, 2010 and pulled a rating of 8.6.

EDIT (8/14): Screen shots are in better quality and added theme song.

Upcoming Summer J-Dramas, 2010

June 30, 2010

July is right around the corner, which means Japanese dramas will kick off in a couple of days or in a few weeks. Now, I didn’t put every single upcoming drama down, since that would be a bit too much for me. I did list dramas that have captured my attention or have actors that I like. As for checking out all these dramas, maybe I will, but I shall be checking out a few. It depends on my schedule and if I can find any in English subtitles. If you are curious about other upcoming dramas aside from these (in the post), check out this forum at Crunchyroll.
